The brain of the York affinity series, its primary function is to reduce defrost frequency by up to 40%, increasing energy efficiency and the life of the unit. Using an electronic analyzer to determine anomalies and multi-point temperature reading functions, the system performs its own diagnostics. It automatically shuts down the unit if necessary, while notifying you with a flashing indicator light.

Increased compressor protection

The compressor is protected against abnormal pressures and temperatures by a pressure relief valve, an internal temperature sensor and a high and low pressure control.

York’s Unique ClimaTrak Mode

When your unit is paired with a York variable speed furnace it allows your York installer to adjust the motor in your furnace and heat pump to work best for your climate. With ClimaTrak and the YorkGuard VI, the operating cycle of your furnace and heat pump will be better suited to your home, whether you live in a dry, temperate or humid area. The operation is simple, if the unit detects that your home is cooling too quickly or that the humidity level is too high in cooling mode, the fan motor speed will be reduced to improve the indoor humidity level.
